I believe that in order for therapy to be effective, there has to be intentional effort made to learn about you and learn from you - this is your life and your investment! Alongside hearing about your past difficult experiences and current challenges, I also hope to be a cheerleader in the goals you achieve and highlight the strengths you possess. I value creating a therapeutic space where you have the ability to speak unfiltered without fear of judgment, and I acknowledge that this atmosphere will take time to build - you set the pace!My speciality is working with teenagers and young adults who are finding themselves trying to navigate confusing stages of life while also fighting against uncomfortable memories from the past and strained relationships. Through trauma-informed approaches, like EMDR and TF-CBT, I hope to help you integrate the past and present for a healthy future.Hard things that have happened to you will almost always BE disturbing events, yet they don't have to continually FEEL uncomfortable for the rest of your life. Doing the work to try and heal from something that wasn't your responsibility in the first place can be both hard and rewarding - I hope to be able to walk with you in that journey toward freedom.
