I specialise in general orthopaedic surgery with specific interest in hip and knee arthroplasty (joint replacement surgery) as well as general lower limb trauma. My NHS practice is based at the Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WUTH) and I see both Private and NHS patients at Spire Murrayfield on the Wirral. In addition to my clinical work, I am heavily engaged in the education and training of medical students and junior doctors. I am a Clinical Supervisor to third year medical students from the University of Liverpool and am also an examiner for their Assessments for Progression. I am a Clinical and Educational Supervisor to junior doctors (FY1, FY2, Core Surgical Trainees and Specialist Registrars) during their orthopaedic placement at WUTH. I am the current Specialty Trainee Committee (STC) representative for WUTH, representing our Trust and Orthopaedic Trainees at the Mersey Deanery. I am past the President of the Mersey Orthopaedic Training Association (58 Society).
