Mr. Gurudatt Sisodia is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee and hip surgery. With expertise in reconstructive and repair surgery for sports-related knee injuries, as well as modern surgical techniques for addressing knee and hip arthritis, he is dedicated to providing top-notch care to his patients.Mr. Sisodia earned his medical qualification from the University of Leeds in 2005. He completed his orthopaedic training through the Yorkshire Specialist Training Rotation and was awarded the FRCS (Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2014. To further refine his skills, he pursued subspecialist training in knee surgery through prestigious Knee Fellowships under renowned knee surgeons such as Prof. Nick London in Harrogate and Mr. Tim Wilton, a past president of the BOA. He also undertook an international year-long Fellowship at Torontos Sunnybrook Hospital, known as a Centre of Excellence and Canadas leading joint replacement centre.Mr. Sisodia maintains a full-time NHS practice at the University Hospital of South Manchester. His practice covers a wide range of conditions, from professional athletes with knee injuries to older individuals with complex degenerative issues.In his daily practice, Mr. Sisodia performs arthroscopic (keyhole) reconstructive surgery for ligament, cartilage, and meniscal injuries of the knee. He specialises in treating patella instability and anterior knee pain. He also regularly conducts total knee and total hip replacements. Mr. Sisodia is an advocate of partial knee replacement surgery when appropriate, using implants with the best long-term results in the UK.Throughout his career, Mr. Sisodia has been actively involved in research and clinical audit. He completed a Medical Engineering Masters degree with distinction, giving him a deep understanding of the materials and biomaterials used in orthopaedic surgery. He applies this knowledge when selecting and positioning implants. Mr. Sisodia is passionate about teaching and training, having held roles as a clinical tutor, anatomy demonstrator, and examiner for specialist registrars in the UK and Canada. He currently serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer for medical students at the University of Manchester and as a Clinical Supervisor for junior doctors and trainee surgeons.
