Mr Vasanth Eswaramoorthy is a fellowship trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in primary and revision hip and knee replacements.His NHS base is at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals, where he manages patients with lower limb injuries, as well as elective hip and knee surgery.He completed his Specialist Orthopaedic training on the South East Thames Orthopaedic Training programme, which included rotations through Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals and King’s College Hospital. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in London in 2017 and the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) leading to entry into the specialist register for Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2018. He has undertaken 3 fellowships; a hip fellowship at Guys & St Thomas Hospitals and a complex arthroplasty fellowship at St Georges Hospital, London, where he gained extensive experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement, management of infected joint replacements and the use of custom prosthesis. He also undertook a travelling fellowship at University Hospital Bern, Switzerland to gain further experience in young adult hip pathology.Prior to completing his Orthopaedic training, Mr Eswaramoorthy pursued a Doctorate-Level degree in Orthopaedic Research on the development of a new type of hip replacement at St George’s University of London. He has published in peer reviewed journals and presented in national and international meetings.Mr Eswaramoorthy was appointed at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals in 2021 and has since then built up his hip and knee surgery practice. His special interest is in primary and revision hip and knee replacement.
