Varduhi Hakopian is a passionate healthcare professional dedicated to making a positive impact in the field of medicine. Her journey began at Anderson W. Clark Magnet High School, where she discovered her love for biology. She went on to earn her BS in Biology from CSU Los Angeles, laying the foundation for her career in healthcare. She took on the role of a medical scribe in the emergency room, gaining valuable firsthand experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Simultaneously, she pursued her nursing education at West Coast University, a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that prepared her for the next chapter of her career. For the past five years, she has been an integral part of the Surgical Telemetry Unit at Glendale Adventist. It's a role that has not only honed her skills but also allowed her to contribute to the well-being of patients. In recognition of her dedication and excellence, she was honored with the Nurse of the Year award in 2023. Building on her nursing experience, she pursued further education at CSU Los Angeles, graduating as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and obtaining board certification. During her academic journey, she had the privilege of precepting with Dr. Garo Karakashian for a year, an experience that deepened her understanding of patient care and solidified her commitment to the medical profession. Currently, she proudly serve as a Nurse Practitioner in collaboration with Dr. Karakashian at his office. Together, they strive to provide comprehensive and compassionate healthcare to their patients. Her dedication to advancing the field is reflected in her publication in the Journal of Nurse Practitioners, showcasing her commitment to continuous learning and sharing knowledge within the medical community.
