Primary care providers should not only diagnose and treat physical ailments but also actively screen, assess, and manage behavioral health conditions. By addressing both aspects of care, primary care providers can ensure a holistic approach to patient well-being, improve health outcomes, and foster a trusting and therapeutic relationship with patients.
