Mr Subash Tandon is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee surgery. He completed his undergraduate training at Queens University Belfast Medical School and went on to train in orthopaedics in Belfast. He undertook a trauma fellowship in Staffordshire and later focused on sports injuries. Mr Tandon completed a fellowship in sports injuries in Australia where he gained experience in minimally invasive knee surgery, sports injuries and joint replacement surgery. After Mr Tandon returned to the UK, he worked as a consultant at Wolverhampton before transferring to University Hospitals of Leicester. Mr Tandon sees a range of sports injuries, varying from casual sports-players to professionals. He was the attending orthopaedic surgeon at the Rugby World Cup for England in 2015 and he now provides treatment for the Leicester Tigers Team, Leicester City FC Team, Leicester County Cricket, and Leicester Riders. Mr Tandon has an interest in medical education, and he regularly teaches medical students and trainee orthopaedic surgeons at the University Hospitals of Leicester. Mr Tandon has a particular interest in soft tissue injuries of the knee and minimally invasive surgery.
