Mr Shawn Tavares is a consultant Orthopaedic who specialises in Hip and Knee surgery. Shawn undertook his basic training on the Oxford Trauma and Orthopaedic training rotation across various hosptials from 1993-2000; and then undertook his specialist training at Imperial College London and Chelsea & Westminister Hospital. Shawn was appointed as consultant Tauma and Othropaedic Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire hospital in 2000, and went on to become the Clinical Director of the Orthopaedic Department from 2004-2007 and the Clinical Governance lead from 2008-2011.
