I have extensive expertise in working with individuals, families and children. I bring a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges that arise during pivotal stages of development for children and the complexities in parenthood. I have worked with a wide range of concerns related to behavior, trauma, life transitions, parenting, grief and loss, relationships, family conflict, migration issues and I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the specific needs of each family and child. This includes a variety of models in individual therapy, family therapy and child-centered play therapy.I started my career as a qualified social worker in South Africa (2004). I obtained further qualifications as a play therapist and a family therapist in the UK and have gained extensive experience in working with families from all walks of life, including foster and adoptive families. I bring a unique and cultural lens to the work.I approach my work with a strengths-based and holistic perspective, and a belief in the inherent resilience of individuals, families and children and their ability to adapt, heal and grow. The therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of my approach, and through collaboration, I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing therapeutic environment.
