Mr Raja is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the management of hand, wrist, and forearm conditions. He earned his medical degree from Barts & The London School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his specialist training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery on the Royal London training programme. He gained experience in managing major trauma and delivering tertiary specialist care at leading NHS institutions such as the Royal London Hospital, University College London Hospitals, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.Additionally, Mr Raja has a Masters degree in sports medicine, exercise, and health from University College London, which has given him a greater insight into treating and rehabilitating athletes and patients with greater demands on their manual dexterity. In 2019, he completed a highly sought-after Australian Orthopaedic Association-accredited fellowship at the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Research Institute.In his NHS practice, Mr Raja provides acute and emergency care to adults and children while also managing chronic disorders of the hand, wrist, and forearm. As well as clinical practice, he is also passionate about educating colleagues, medical students, and allied healthcare professionals; he is a member of the faculty on orthopaedic examination courses and has organised annual academic meetings for London-based orthopaedic surgeons. He has also presented at international and national conferences and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals.Mr Raja actively participates in instructional courses and workshops to stay up to date with evolving techniques and implants.
