Mr Scott John MacInnes is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.He completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester in 2003. He also holds a Bachelors degree in Medical Sciences. He completed two fellowships in Australia during which he worked with renowned orthopaedic surgeons and developed his expertise in shoulder & elbow surgery. He later began research surrounding the genetic contribution to failure of orthopaedic joint replacements. He was awarded a PhD for this research by the University of Sheffield as well as the Sanger Institute (Cambridge) and the Norwegian Arthroplasty Registry in 2017. Alongside his research work, Mr MacInnes is a peer reviewer for the British Shoulder and Elbow Societys Shoulder & Elbow journal.
