Dr Sangeeta Khinder is a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician at London london Gynaecology. She is also the lead for gynaecology oncology and the deputy lead for colposcopy within her NHS role at The Whittington Hospital. Dr Khinder has worked in high-risk obstetrics units in both the UK and Malaysia. She has vast experience and also serves as the lead for the Womens Health and Maternity Services Clinical Guidelines Committee at her NHS Trust. Dr Khinder special interests are in minimal access surgery, ovarian cysts, fibroids, heavy periods, abnormal post-menopausal bleeding, outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy and abnormal smears, and early pregnancy scanning. She also has particular expertise in supporting women with diabetes, having previously run a weekly diabetic antenatal clinic during her role as a locum consultant. In addition, Dr Khinder has experience in treating FGM, having worked in specialised clinics during her time in Malaysia. Dr Khinder gained her medical qualification from the University of Malaya in 2005 and became a senior registrar in 2012 at Whittington Health. Following almost six years in this post, she was appointed as a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist as well as the unit lead for gynaecology oncology. Dr Khinder joined London Gynaecology on a part-time basis in 2021. She is extremely dedicated to patient safety and wellbeing and advocates for womens choice. In addition, Dr Khinder has a passion for medical education and facilitates the Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training at The Whittington Hospital where she teaches laparoscopy simulation and formal tutorials for obstetrics and gynaecology students. She is also on the MRCOG Part 3 course faculty of the Forest Teaching. Outside of the hospital, Dr Khinders hobbies include pilates and dance.
