Dr Manju Chandiramani is a consultant obstetrician at Guys and St Thomas hospital. She has expertise in providing care to women in low and high-risk pregnancies. She has been a practising obstetrician for over 10 years and is skilled in helping women to remain in control, feel confident in their choice of birth plan and achieve a birth experience that is in keeping with their expectations.In her NHS practice, Dr. Chandiramani has particular expertise in providing specialist care for women at risk of preterm birth, those having had previous miscarriages, and those with diabetes. She holds leadership and management roles in London aimed at optimising the preparation of babies at risk of being born too early, giving them the best chance of better beginnings and subsequent healthier lives.In addition to her busy practice, Dr. Chandiramani is also an honorary senior clinical lecturer at the School of Life Course Sciences at Kings College London. She is active in research and her interests involve the prediction and prevention of preterm birth, ranging from basic science to clinical studies. She has experience in quality improvement and transformation and redesign of clinical care pathways which span different NHS institutions and involve frontline staff.
