Samir Massoud studied Medicine at Alexandria University Medical School in Egypt. He moved to the UK in 1989, where he trained in general surgical specialities and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1993. He then undertook his Higher Surgical Orthopaedic Training in Nottingham and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma & Orthopaedics in 1999. He has had extensive training in knee and shoulder arthroscopic, reconstructive and joint replacement surgery and management of sports injuries.Mr Massoud became a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and University Hospital Birmingham in January 2003 and is a founding member of the Birmingham Knee and Shoulder Clinic which was established in 2004.
