Mr Khazims orthopaedic residency training was undertaken fully in the University of Toronto, Canada and completed in November 1994. He also has a further two and a half years of comprehensive sub-speciality training in spinal surgery in the spinal units of the Toronto Western Hospital and Nottinghams Queens Medical Centre. Since then, his elective NHS and private practice work has focused on spinal disorders. His practice is focused solely on the comprehensive management of most spinal conditions. This includes the elective diagnosis and management of lower back, neck, arms and legs symptoms as a result of degenerative spinal conditions, as well as the urgent or emergency treatments for spinal fractures, infections and tumours. The surgical treatments he carries out are undertaken at Spire Wellesley Private Hospital. These include but are not limited to lumbar or cervical discectomy, decompression, dynamic stabilisation, fusion (anterior, posterior, intervertebral), instrumentation, disc replacement, interspinous distraction for spinal stenosis and cement augmentation (vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty) for osteoporotic fractures or spinal metastasis.
