Hello and welcome. I am a psychodynamic counsellor, which means that I work with people who are facing difficulties in getting what they want out of life today, as well as thinking about how earlier experiences and relationships might be playing a part. You might have a specific event in your life that has unbalanced things for you and wish to explore this further. You may not be able to identify a specific cause, but be aware that things don’t feel quite right and want to try and understand this better. I offer time and space for you to reflect on how you’re feeling, to notice how this is impacting on your life, and to think about why this might be. It is difficult to describe what counselling might look like for any individual, because just as the circumstances that bring someone to counselling are unique, the experience that then follows will also be personal to you and what you need to take from it.
