Mr. Mounir Hakimi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over a decade of experience in hip and knee surgery, including knee replacements, keyhole surgery and primary and revision surgery of the hip and knee. He sees private patients at the BMI Highfield Hospital and the BMI Alexandra Hospital.Mr Hakimi earned his primary medical qualification in 2001, after which he undertook his basic and advanced specialist training, allowing him to gain membership with the Royal College of Surgeons. He was then awarded a trauma and orthopaedics fellowship in 2016, and later earned his Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training. During his time spent training, Mr Hakimi gained knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of hip and knee surgery techniques at renowned orthopaedic centres of excellence such as the Wrightington Hospital. He was also awarded a prestigious hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship in Leeds, at the Chapel Allerton Hospital.Upon completion of his training and fellowships, Mr Hakimi was appointed Consultant at the Royal Salford Trust in 2018. He has since been actively involved in the medical education sector, being appointed Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Salford, and is also faculty for various Hip and Knee arthroplasty courses.
