Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Michael Oddy is based at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). He is also an Honorary Associate Professor in the University College London Division of Surgery.He has special interests in the following areas:foot and ankle surgery,trauma,foot and ankle sports injuries,diabetic/neurological foot and ankle disorders.He is able to treat a wide range of conditions, including:Bunions/hallux valgusCartiva Synthetic Cartilage Implant or fusion (Hallux rigidus)Foot and ankle arthritisFlat foot Foot and ankle trauma (fractures and sprains)Diabetic/Charcot footNeurological foot disordersBunions and toe deformityAnkle Sprain and Sports InjuriesMr Oddy studied Medical and Natural Sciences at Christs College, University of Cambridge, graduating in 1996. Following his basic surgical training, he went on to earn a Masters degree at UCL, where he graduated with distinction in 2002. As an orthopaedic specialist registrar on the Percivall Pott St Bartholomews Hospital rotation, he completed foot and ankle positions in Norwich and Stanmore before undertaking a fellowship in Sheffield.Mr Oddy is the orthopaedic lead for diabetic foot services at UCLH and is actively involved in research and training doctors and UCL medical students.Additionally, he was one of six specialist foot and ankle surgeons for the London 2012 Olympics.
