My medical career began by graduating from the university of Leicester in 2008 after 5 years of degree study. I progressed to my junior doctor training in the University Hospitals of Leicester. Moving back to my home counties of Norfolk and Suffolk in 2010 to continue my specialist training. I finished my junior doctor training in the east of England after passing MRCS and FRCS examinations and taking time to complete a doctorate in spine degeneration research. I completed senior fellowships in spine surgery in Ipswich, Norwich and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital as well as completing the prestegous BASS/BSS traveling fellowship . Now a consultant at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital I regularly treat all conditions of the spine from the neck to the lower back including trauma, degeneration, deformity, and scoliosis as well as tumours and infection. I have additional roles as both the spinal cord injury lead consultant for Norfolk and Waveney as well as Trauma and orthopeadic governance lead with a specific focus on safety
