Mr. Malik Moiz has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for over 18 years in the NHS, specialising in problems of the hip and knee.Mr. Moiz began his surgical career as an Orthopaedic registrar at Ipswich hospital in 1991 where he worked for a number of years gaining extensive surgical experience. Whilst there, he was selected for an international fellowship in trauma and arthroplasty at the world famous Sunnybrook Health Sciences centre in Toronto, Canada, where he trained under the tutelage of renowned Professor, Joseph Schatzker (instrumental in adoption of the AO fracture fixation method and author of the Schatzker classification for tibial plateau fractures). On his return, Mr. Moiz joined the South Trent deanery Orthopaedics training rotation, developing his expertise in treating hips and knees and attaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma & Orthopaedics.In 2001, he was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge before being later appointed at Heatherwood and Wexham Park hospitals.Mr. Moiz is an accomplished Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor, surgical trainer, part-time lecturer in Bio-engineering at the University of Surrey and national recruiter of Orthopaedic trainees.He brings a unique wealth of experience and insight to all his patient consultations from his years of practice in the UK and overseas. He ensures all his patients feel understood and have had their concerns fully addressed to achieve the best possible outcome for them.In his spare time he enjoys long walks, hiking and traveling as well as spending time with his wife and two children.
