Mr Madhu Tiruveedhula is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in paediatric orthopaedics, complex foot and ankle surgery, and diabetic foot reconstruction. His NHS practice is at Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals, and he consults privately at HCA Healthcare, Nuffield Health, and BMI Healthcare. Mr Tiruveedhulas specialist interests are as follows: Limb alignment surgeries Ankle and knee ligament reconstructions Foot and ankle conditions including arthroscopic surgeries to the ankle joint Keyhole surgery for the ankle and knee Bunion correction including key-hole surgery Fracture treatment Reconstruction of flat feet in adults and children Mr Tiruveedhula graduated from Bangalore University in 1996 before undertaking his specialist registrar training in trauma and orthopaedics in Leeds. He then pursued fellowship training at the University of Southampton and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in London as well as at Guys and St. Thomas where he later held the role of consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeon. Mr Tiruveedhula has a passion for education and currently holds posts as a medical school examiner and postgraduate trainer. Mr Tiruveedhula has published work in textbooks as well as peer-reviewed journals. He also is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, the British Society for Childrens Orthopaedic Surgery, and the London Children Orthopaedic club. Outside of the hospital, Mr Tiruveedhula enjoys playing cricket, badminton, and organising social events in his local area.
