After a year and a half as Chrysalis’s IOP intern, Kaelin Kennedy is thrilled to be joining the team full-time as a licensed clinical social worker associate. She recently graduated from UNCW with her master’s in social work and earned her BA in English and Biology from UNC Chapel Hill in 2018. She most enjoys working with individuals with eating disorders, highly sensitive persons, non-linear thinkers, and clients looking to explore questions of identity or reconnect with their sense of aliveness. As a proud member of the queer community, Kaelin also welcomes LGBTQ+ clients. Her approach centers on building a strong therapist-client relationship and nurturing an individual’s knowledge of themselves; CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and compassion-focused approaches are tools she uses to accomplish these goals. She firmly believes that every client possesses the abilities to overcome their challenges, and she is grateful for the opportunity to support her clients in their journey to recognize these strengths.
