I am a registered social worker with 30+ years post qualifying experience and also a qualified Best Interest Assessor. My background is in adult social care, working as both a practitioner and manager in care homes, Inspection and quality assurance (pre CQC) and social work teams. Now working as an Independent Social Worker and BIA my work covers in the main: Mental Capacity Act assessments, Best Interest assessments (DoLS) and LPOA certificate provision and also completion of COP3 forms for solicitors. I can also undertake work for professional and Local Authority appointed Deputies (Court of Protection), Paid Representative -DOLS RPR/advocacy plus Care Act and Risk management assessments.
