Mr Jean-Pierre Jeannon is a highly skilled Consultant Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon based at London Bridge Hospital. He has extensive experience in general head and neck surgery, including head and neck cancer, voice disorders, and thyroid issues. He is also an expert in performing Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) for the treatment of throat cancer.In addition to his private practice, Mr Jeannon holds an NHS Post at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, where he was the Clinical Director of Surgical Oncology from 2018 to 2021. He has specialized in the surgery for advanced orbital malignancy in collaboration with Moorfields Eye Hospital for the past 10 years.After completing his medical degree at the University of Birmingham, Mr Jeannon underwent basic surgical training in the West Midlands and specialist training in Newcastle. He then completed a Fellowship at the University of Toronto in Canada before returning to the UK to take up a Consultant position at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital.Mr Jeannon is actively involved in research and has published extensively in his field. He is the principal investigator in several clinical research trials focused on immunotherapy and translational research for head and neck cancer treatment, and is a regular presenter on these subjects at international conferences. He is also committed to medical education and holds positions as a Member of the Court of Examiners for the Royal College of Surgeons and an Associate Professor of Head & Neck Surgery at Kings College London.

I am a Consultant Ear, Nose & Throat – Head & Neck Surgeon and I work at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Hospital since 2002. I am Clinical Director of Surgical Oncology and Associate Professor of Head & Neck Surgery at Kings College London. The head & neck unit at Guy’s Hospital is one of the largest in the United Kingdom. I am a national and international expert and opinion leader in the field of head and neck cancer. My specialist area of expertise is Head & Neck Oncology, in particular I specialise in oral cavity, thyroid and salivary gland cancer surgery. I am an expert in Trans Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS). This allows cancer surgery to be performed avoiding scars on the face and neck. I performed the first ever double robotic cancer surgery removing lung and throat cancers simultaneously. I also have expertise in treating advanced skin cancers and orbital cancers. I am the attending head and neck surgeon to Moorfields Eye Hospital. Other surgeons from the region send me complex cases for me to operate on. I also have an interest in salvage surgery following failed radiotherapy treatment. I have a strong research commitment having published over 80 publications and have been an invited expert speaker to several national and international scientific meetings. I am passionate and committed to improving the outcomes for patients with head and neck cancer . I am a principal investigator on several translational research trials and clinical trials in head and neck cancer. Only through dedicated research can we help patients battle against cancer which will affect 1:3 adults during their lifetime. I am member of the Court of Examiners for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and am an examiner for the FRCS Otolaryngology intercollegiate speciality examination. I am a keen tennis player and am a member of the Roehampton Club. I enjoy skiing. I try and keep fit and regularly run 10K Wine tasting and collecting is a great hobby of mine

I have published over 80 peer reviewed papers covering all aspects of head and neck surgery. I am considered a national and international expert in the field of head and neck surgical oncology. I am a lead investigator on several clinical trials and am currently working on a gene therapy and immunotherapy research trial for the treatment of head and neck cancer.
