Janice Winfrey is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 24 years of experience in healthcare. Janice began her journey in medicine as a patient. Janice spent a great deal of time during her adolescence as a patient in hospitals. She recovered and thrived in school. After starting as a Certified Nurse Assistant/Cardiac Monitor Tech she decided that her focus would stay in healthcare. Janice moved onto become a Nurse, then Charge Nurse then ending her tenure in hospitals as the Nursing Supervisor for Harborview Medical Center. Janice also taught part of the Nursing program at a California State University. Janice’s passion for improving and advancing left her wanting for more, and her position took her away from direct contact with patients. Janice left the hospital and went back to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Janice graduated as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and founder of her own clinic in Monroe WA. Janice’s focus is based on a true patient first approach. Janice has seen for too long the shortfalls with big business clinics. The appointments that end before the patient finishes explaining what’s wrong, the constant changing of physicians, and the lack of availability of appointments for months at a time. Janice believes in being the physician that remembers their patients and can be counted on to make time to see them when it matters. Janice is now available to take new patients 4 years and up for family care, as well as Mental Health Medication Management and Aesthetics including fillers and neurotoxin injections including Botox for TMJ and Migraine relief. Janice enjoys helping adolescents with a specialty in evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, and ADHD.
