All aspects of general ENT (Ears, Nose & Throat/ Otolaryngology) Paediatric ENT & Adult ENT Medical & surgical ENT treatments. Assessment of all common ENT conditions eg tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, grommets (sore throats, snoring, hearing problems) in children & adults. Otology (ears) including wax, infections, discharge, pain, tinnitus (noise in ear), hearing loss, balance/ dizzy issues, cholesteatoma & mastoidectomy. Rhinology (nose) including medical & surgical treatment of: Rhinitis (inflammation in the nose)- persistent cold, blocked nose, mucus, loss of smell, itching/ sneezing Sinusitis (inflammation in the sinuses)- facial pain/ pressure, infection, swelling, sinus surgery Snoring treatment. Laryngology (throat): Sore throats Swallowing problems- abnormal feeling/ sensation, 'lump in throat', food sticking, pain/ discomfort, regurgitation, general swallowing issues Voice change/ problems.

Mr Powles has worked as a Consultant since 2007. He has been Clinical Lead for ENT at Torbay since 2015 His senior Specialist (Registrar) Training was in London including 2 years on the Professorial Unit at the Royal National Throat, Nose & Ear Hospital with a year with each of the Professors of Rhinology (Noses) & Otology (Ears). He also trained with some of the top specialists in the UK spending year long attachments at Charing Cross, St Mary's & the Royal Free Hospitals.
