Mr Winson is a senior orthopaedic surgeon and has a special interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery going back to his training posts in Bristol and Sheffield. That special interest has led to him being President of the British Foot and Ankle Society, the European Foot and Ankle Society and ultimately President of the British Orthgopaedic Association the body that represents the whole of the orthopaedic community. He is specifically recognise for his work pioneering key hole techniques to treat a wide variety of foot and ankle problems. He has treated sports people from England Cricketers through International Rugby players, premiership Footballers to extreme triathletes. He has a special interest in ankle arthritis and has been at the forefoot of designing surgical procedures in the treatment of this frequently neglected clinical problem. In doing so he is one of the leading exponents of fusion ankles by keyhole techniques and has been involved in the development of a design of ankle replacement. He is happy to treat all problems rtelated to the foot and ankle.
