Mr Ian Holloway is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the assessment and treatment of hip and knee pain. He has extensive experience including a year as an overseas fellow in Australia in knee and hip replacement in Sydney and Melbourne. His private practice is based at the Chelsea Outpatient Centre and the Lister Hospital. Mr Holloway specialises in primary hip and knee replacement surgery. He works in both private and NHS practice, the latter of which is based at London North West Hospitals NHS Trust. He has been the Clinical Director for Orthopaedics, and the development lead for the planned NW London Elective Orthopaedic Centre. He is experienced in the use of computer navigation and robotic guidance for knee and hip replacement. He uses an accelerated postoperative rehab regime to allow early mobilisation and discharge, always working to create the fastest and most effective results of his patients. In addition to his clinical work, he is active in research and has published numerous articles in his field as well as having presented at national and international meetings. He is a surgical trainer and educational supervisor and has been shorlisted for trainer of the year in the NW Thames region. He is an assessor for consultant appointments for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
