Ms Homa Arshad, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, currently works within the Barts Health NHS Trust and sees patients privately for HCA Healthcare at London Bridge Hospital. She is highly experienced in performing a wide range of orthopaedic surgery including knee and hip arthroscopy, complex replacement, revision, and orthopaedic trauma surgeryMs Arshad graduated with her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Cambridge, before being offered a place on the highly prestigious Percivall Pott rotation scheme. She has travelled the world developing her skills in units within Brazil, New York and, California gaining invaluable experience along the way. During her training period, she was also awarded a fellowship in Denmark working alongside and learning from Professor Kjeld Sobelle – the pioneer of minimally invasive periacetabular osteotomies. In her current role of Consultant, she has also taken on additional responsibilities as Head of Trauma at Barts. Ms Arshad is also a very engaged teacher, holding the position of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer and tutor for the Masters in International Orthopaedic Trauma Sciences at the Queen Mary University of London. She is also an active researcher with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed several book chapters.
