Mr Selzer likes to give his patients an undivided attention and sees himself as his patients’ advocate. He came to England nearly 30 years ago. Having completed all his basic surgical training including the FRCS exams in the UK, he then joined and completed the higher surgical training programme in orthopaedics in the West Midlands. Amongst the hospitals he worked at were Coventry, Selly Oak and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. For his advanced fellowship in hip, knee and revision surgery he went to Guy’s and St. Thomas’ hospital in London. During all this time he completed the MSc in orthopaedic engineering and a dissertation. Next to general orthopaedics he specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery including hip resurfacing. He also operates in the more complex field of revision surgery hips and knees and performs knee arthroscopic surgery. He is accredited to perform Robotic hip and knee replacements. He has presented on regional, national and international conferences. He also is an honorary lecturer at Wolverhampton University.
