When I imagine the “ideal client” I do not see a specific person. I see is someone who desires change and is willing to put in the work to attain it. I imagine someone who is willing to be vulnerable, open-minded, and trusting of the therapeutic process. This person understands that there will be hurdles along the way, but they recognize that they do not have to face those hurdles alone. It is my responsibility as a therapist to create an environment where all my clients feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I hope to get the chance to help those who allow me to do so.Anxiety disorders are increasingly common and as debilitating as ever. My personal and professional dealings with anxiety disorders has given me an understanding that many clients find helpful. I advocate for and am extremely familiar with Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I have seen the benefits that CBT can provide individuals dealing with anxiety. As someone who has been to therapy I understand the fear, anxiety, and uncertainty that comes with finding the right therapist. Finding someone that understands you, cares for you, challenges you, and helps you meet your goals can be difficult. I want to be that therapist for you if you allow me. It is my hope that together we can accomplish your goals.
