I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received my advanced clinical training working with adolescents, children and families at the Yale Child Study Center, a department of Yale University Medical School in New Haven, Connecticut. When addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, AD/HD, parent-child conflict, couple/marital issues, trauma, and/or substance abuse/addictions, I apply a variety of treatment modalities and therapeutic interventions to best address the individual situation.I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and is established by creating a non-judgmental and supportive therapeutic environment. My client-centered approach encourages individuals to gain greater self-awareness, enhance self-esteem, develop effective coping skills, and increase motivation in order to achieve their desired goals.As a certified PAIRS (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills) instructor I am also passionate about helping clients learn more effective communication patterns that may result in reduced interpersonal conflict and greater connectedness within their relationships. Clients are able to take the concrete tools learned in session and apply them in their daily lives.
