Mr Feiran Wu is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in degenerative and sports disorders of the hand, wrist and elbow. As a purely upper limb specialist, he is able to offer a complete and individualised service utilising the latest techniques including arthroscopic surgery (keyhole) and wide-awake surgery. Mr Wu graduated in medicine from Cambridge University and since then has pursued his orthopaedic and specialist training in multiple distinguished specialist centres in the West Midlands and the UK. In 2018, he was awarded the prestigious British Orthopaedic Association overseas fellowship to attain further specialist skills in wrist arthroscopy and hand injury surgery in centres of excellence in Asia. Since 2019 he has been a consultant in orthopaedics and trauma at University Hospitals Birmingham, treating patients with both elective and traumatic upper extremity conditions. Mr Wu offers a number of specialist treatments, including keyhole carpal tunnel release, the latest wide-awake techniques for Dupuytrens surgery, tendon repair, and arthritis treatment. He also offer wrist arthroscopy, solutions for sports injuries, platelet-rich plasma stem-cell therapy, and management of tennis and golfers elbow. He is actively involved in clinical research and has authored numerous articles on the management of degenerative and sports injuries of the arm. He is regular speaker on international conferences and is an editor of The Journal of Hand Surgery, the leading European journal for hand specialists.
