Raised and educated in Menai Bridge, Anglesey, I embarked on a surgical career at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff and Morriston Hospital, Swansea. In 2003, I was accepted onto the Oswestry / Stoke Orthopaedic training programme before spending a further year gaining sub-specialist fellowship experience in hip and knee surgery at the world-renowned University Hospital, Ottawa, Canada. My interests lie in hip replacement, knee replacement, keyhole surgery of the knee (Arthroscopy) and enhanced recovery protocols allowing patients to get up and go home earlier after joint replacement surgery. I also perform therapeutic injection therapy for painful conditions of the hip and knee. I currently perform about 100 hip replacement and 100 knee replacement procedures per year. I was appointed as a substantive NHS consultant at Leighton Hospital, Crewe in 2011 and my time there I became the Clinical Director of Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery for 3 years, before becoming the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) for the trust. A role I still hold. I commenced my private practice in Cheshire in 2012 and recently moved my practice to Spire Yale, Wrexham and Spire Abergele Consulting Rooms following the closure of BMI The South Cheshire.Diseases, Medical Tests and Treatments
