I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2002. I undertook my higher surgical training on the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Program, based at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. I spent one year on a specialist hip and knee fellowship at the Centre for Hip Surgery at Wrightington Hospital, a designated centre of excellence for orthopaedic surgery. My elective clinical interests include primary and revision arthroplasty of the hip and knee and arthroscopic surgery of the knee. I have been a visiting fellow/observer at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, the Holland Arthritis Centre in Toronto and St Johns Hospital in Los Angeles. Diseases, Medical Tests and TreatmentsSpecial interests I was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University Hospital North Midlands in 2014. My elective clinical interests are in the treatment of infection around hip and knee replacements, the treatment of complex hip and knee disorders that require custom implants or complex revision (redo) surgery. I am the clinical lead for Pelvic and Acetabular reconstruction and for peri-prosthetic joint infection treatment.
