Mr Bernd Ketzer is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working for the MidYorkshire NHS Trust. He specialises in upper limb surgery, shoulder surgery, wrist surgery and elbow surgery. Mr Ketzer qualified in Medicine from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 1983 and undertook his training also in South Africa. He then completed a fellowship in trauma and shoulder surgery at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, England. This was followed by another fellowship focussing on hand surgery at the Pulverhaft Hand Centre in Derby. He was then appointed Consultant at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield in 1997. He manages many shoulder conditions including osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and rotator cuff repair. He also consults on the elbow conditions; elbow stiffness, tennis elbow and arthritis, as well as the hand conditions including Depuytrens disease, and nerve entrapment.
