Mr Benan Dala-Ali is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in paediatric practice. He sees patients of all ages, with extensive experience in managing infants, toddlers and adolescent children. He deals with all aspects of childrens injuries, from minor sports injuries to complex neuromuscular conditions. Mr Dala-Ali completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in London, followed by higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He subsequently worked at Major Trauma Centres in both London and Melbourne before completing two internationally recognised paediatric fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital (London) and The Royal Childrens Hospital (Melbourne). In addition to his clinical training, Mr Dala-Ali also completed an MSc in Musculoskeletal Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education at University College London. He is now a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons and the Higher Education Academy. Alongside his continuing clinical practice, he is still very active in research and teaching by publishing papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals as well as presenting at various national and international paediatric, orthopaedic, and sports conferences. Furthermore, he teaches medical students formally through lecture courses while providing mentorship opportunities for young doctors and surgeons based out of London or Oxford. Mr Dala-Ali takes a comprehensive approach to his clinical practice and is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome for his patients. He works closely with families throughout the process, providing them with all available treatment options while placing an emphasis on non-operative treatments whenever possible.
