Mr Barny Hopton is a senior Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Airedale General Hospital and The Yorkshire Clinic, West Yorkshire. He is a specialist knee surgeon with a particular interest in sports knee injuries and knee arthritis. Mr Hopton qualified at Bristol University then undertook his basic surgical training in Leeds followed by orthopaedic training in Yorkshire. Before starting his consultant post he completed a years fellowship at Wrightington Hospital for special surgery.He has developed a modern knee practice at Airedale Hospital with arthroscopic ACL reconstruction and an acute knee service.When he gets time he enjoys running and climbing.
