Mr Aria Ghassemi is a well experienced Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon currently seeing private patients at London Bridge Hospital, St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, Ramsay Springfield Hospital, Ramsay Rivers Hospital, and 31 Old Broad Street. Before transitioning to full-time private practice last year, Mr Ghassemi held the position of Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon at University College Hospital.Mr Ghassemi completed his medical degree at St Bartholomews and the Royal London Hospital in 1995 followed by his training at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, and The Royal London Hospital. He completed his Master’s degree in 2001 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010. Mr Ghassemi also worked at the Institute for Sports Exercise and Health (ISEH) in London, a legacy project of the 2012 Olympic Games.Mr Ghassemis practice thrives on a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. He works closely with a team of dedicated physiotherapists and orthotists to provide his patients with the best possible care. He has expertise in the treatment and management of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including: plantar fasciitis, ankle fractures, foot fractures, bunion, toe deformities, ankle instability, sports injuries, tendon injuries, ligament injuries, foot arthritis, ankle arthritis and soft tissue injuries. In his current clinical practice, he performs a wide range of procedures including: shockwave therapy, arthroscopy, excision of bony lumps, fracture fixation, bunion correction and ligament reconstruction.
