Description

A resourceful healthcare manager, a pioneer, a Telehealth visionary and a multi patents holder that enjoyed a versatile career. After spending several decades travelling the world, building a successful career in architecture and design and publishing articles on the subject came the drastic change: Inspired by the teachings and vision of Dr. Daniel David (my better half), who advocated for a change in the delivery of patient care, I became involved in making this vision a reality. In 1988 I co-founded and managed Cardiomedix, a nurse call center for remote monitoring of cardiac patients. The company was one of the very first of its kind. The concept was not yet acceptable by the medical community and it took almost 10 years until it became very popular. Already in 1991 recognizing the potential benefit of an audio-visual interactive communication betweenan a patient and a care giver, we started to research this “science fiction” idea. It resulted in the development of an audio-videoTelehealth system with real solutions to critical issues of patient care. Through its R&D company, Commwell, Cardiomedix has accomplished its mission by presenting the Health eCare telehealth system, a patient-centered, holistic approach that combines medical, wellness, and other health-related aspects into one comprehensive home-based long-term preventive and acute patient remote care as well as acute patient remote care system. This all-inclusive, cloud- based, Telehealth system. Provides an ideal tool for Preventing chronic disease deterioration, improving health and wellness, remote rehabilitation, reducing hospitalization and cutting cost
