Description

Mark is a versatile executive with vast business management, client, and Healthcare operations experience. He has innovated and operated in large corporations and successful entrepreneurial startups playing a key role on senior leadership teams. Currently, Mark is serving as President and CEO of Nirikin, LLC. Nirikin is focused on providing solutions that drive a better way to do back office transaction Quality Assurance. Where processors are involved, Nirikin can help. Mark has the advantage of having worked on the BPO services side of healthcare as well as within internal health plan operations. These experiences provide him with insights to drive real improvement leveraging technology and BPO in very wide range of functional areas. Mark has had oversight of claims, payment integrity, EDI and scan operations, appeals and grievance, enrollment, billing, provider data administration, customer service, quality assurance, data analytics and vendor partner performance (BPO and Call Center). Mark has negotiated a multitude of business services contracts as a P&L owner, a client account owner, and as a client. In 2021, Mark took on the challenge of leading the newly created Business Optimization Organization for IBC after successfully heading the Service Operations team since 4Q 2018. Under the umbrella of Optimization, Mark has used his talents to productionize advanced technologies, evolve vendor performance models, and upgrade transaction quality assurance. In 2014, Mark joined TMG Health to lead the Account Teams for this Government Markets Back-Office Platform provider. After the company’s sale to Cognizant, Mark played a strategic role in the transformation focusing on revenue growth. Mark's career journey included serving as SVP-GM role at Sykes/ICT Group until 2011. He then launched Educerus, an In-Home Prospective Assessment Risk Adjustment startup as Chief Operating Officer. In 3 short years, Mark built the operating processes and platform for putting Nurse Practitioners in the homes of Medicare Advantage members. Mark has a long and successful track record as SVP-GM of Healthcare at Call Center BPO, ICT Group. His leadership played a pivotal role in the successful launch of Medicare Part D in 2005. Mark holds an MBA from Seton Hall University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Michigan State University. An avid Pirate and Spartan basketball fan, he follows both Big East and Big Ten sports passionately.
