I am a specialist Occupational Therapist with a wealth of experience across the physical, community, mental health and now forensic setting. I have developed the OT pathway in my current workplace and have created the opportunity to expand OT into numerous other sites for the trust. I have a specialist interest in Sensory Integration, I am passionate about how the concepts of SI can be used to develop emotional regulation skills, supporting individuals who display challenging behaviours. I have valuable experience in working with individuals who have a variety of neurodivergent needs. I thrive on my ability to build trusting, consistent therapeutic relationships which creates a "safe space" for individuals to learn and develop. I work with young male offenders on the offender personality pathway, it is extremely rewarding when the challenges of creating a Sensory pathway within a prison setting starts to flourish and be valued. I am keen to expand experience in the future for professional and personal development.
