Her special interests include behavioural (non-chemical) addiction, trauma and loss, anxiety and depression and relationship difficulties.  She works with adults, adolescents, and couples. In her NHS practice, Venetia is a consultant clinical psychologist in a highly specialist  Gambling Treatment Clinic. She previously acted as the coordinator of Relational Therapies in a large primary care NHS service, while privately she has partnered with the in-house team of the high-profile Harley Therapy for 6 years. Alongside her clinical work, she provides clinical leadership, supervision and training. She is also a horonary lecturer at Metropolitan university. Venetia has presented in several conferences and published in academic journals. Venetia has completed additional training in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dynamic interpersonal therapy (DIT) and integrative couple therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry, Anna Freud Centre, and Tavistock Relationship Centre. She also has experience in psychodynamic, relational, compassionate-focused, dialectic behavioural, and schema therapy. Therefore she can help clients using different approaches, including practising new coping strategies, exploring the past and uncovering deeply buried emotions, or providing a supportive space to help with life stresses, improve wellness, increase insight, and deepen connections with others. In the initial assessment, she will be discussing with you how to tailor treatment to your individual needs.
