Dr Laura Gilikinson is an experienced clinical psychologist offering psychological therapy for adolescents, adults, couples and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, mental health and psychological difficulties. She has worked in the field of of psychology for more than nine years and as a qualified clinical psychologist since 2009. As a therapist, her aim is to gain a thorough understanding of her patients difficulties, strengths and goals. She uses a range of techniques to help her patients to work towards the changes that they would like to make to improve their wellbeing or health and she help her patients to manage the stresses of modern life. She endeavours to find a style of working that suits the interests, beliefs and preferences of her patients. Dr Gilkinson is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council and an accredited member of the British Psychological Society division of clinical psychology. She also holds a position as a clinical psychologist in an NHS community mental health team. She holds a regular clinic on Wednesday evenings.
