Clients also learn to develop collaborative skills for managing symptoms outside of the session. In a session, Uwem focuses on breathing exercises, and grounding tools that can be practiced in stressful situations. Uwem also focuses on helping clients question their thoughts, explore alternative thought processes, and empower clients to gain insight into the innate strength they have to manage life’s stressors.
