My name is Subo Nadarajah (MBPsS, MBACP, MSc. Psych, BSc. (Hon) Psych, Dip. CBH) Our mental health and wellbeing are paramount to us. It saddens me to sometimes see what little care we take of it. We see our GPs as soon as we have a physical ailment. However, we tend to ignore how we feel emotionally, forgetting our emotional wellbeing is part of our whole-making. It has been my life-long passion to encourage people to put themselves first and follow their dreams. I am a great believer in the power of our minds and what we can achieve if we dare to. I started my journey as a counsellor in Sri Lanka, working with victims of war. An experience that has taught me much, and an honour to have been able to work with the people I did. Looking for greener pastures I moved to Dubai, where I gained a very different experience by working in an extremely busy corporate environment. Hence, I can fully relate to the pressures that come with a high-pressured job and the rat-race-driven culture of the corporate world. As much as I loved the glitzy lifestyle of Dubai, I realised that I wanted much more and that I needed to follow my own passion for helping others with their emotional struggles. I have years of experience in the NHS working with trauma namely Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, depression, bereavement and Stress. I am a registered member of the British Psychological Society and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to its practice code. I am a psychotherapist who also specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH), Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Existential Psychotherapy.
