My expertise includes dealing with psychological difficulties which relate to relational and identity issues, anxieties, depression, addictions, self-harming, suicidal thoughts, trauma, OCD and BPD. I am experienced in working with borderline clients and I use psychodynamic and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Mentalization Behaviour Therapy to help to manage and regulate high emotional vulnerabilities such as fear of rejection and abandonment, extreme emotional swings, impulsivity ,chronic feelings of emptiness and rageand reckless behaviour. My theoretical orientation is psychodynamic; using the relationship between myself and the client, looking at the dynamics between us and exploring whether they are informed by early attachments and associations, and examining how that may help us to change the unhelpful thinking and misconceptions. In time, it is possible to modify clients' emotional responses and increase their confidence in dealing with distressing situations, resilience and build a life experienced as worth living and happy. There are three key factors that highly contribute to producing successful therapeutic outcomes: 1) the theapist's professional skills and experience, 2) empathy, warmth and humour - they all increase client's ability to feel validated and understood, 3) client's own motivation and ability to form emotional intimacy with me, based on trust and honesty. I always follow the principles of confidentiality and congruence; valuing individual difference, and finding one's own path. I am an accredited member of BACP and I am supervised by their requirementsFacetime, Zoom & Skype sessions available .
