As Medical Director and Forensic Psychiatrist at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital (FPH) at Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), I oversee the medical program and quality of clinical care for the largest forensic psychiatric facility in Canada. I have been in this role since July 2021, after working as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in the UK for over nine years. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) and hold a BSc in Neuroscience, MBBS in Medicine, and an MSc in Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology. I have extensive experience in treating and managing patients with complex mental health and legal issues, as well as in providing medical education and training for forensic psychiatry trainees, having previously held the role of South London Training Programme Director for Higher Specialist training in Forensic Psychiatry. I am passionate about improving the standards and outcomes of forensic psychiatric services, providing patient centred care and advancing the field of forensic psychiatry.
