Description

Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Burgess Hill, working on the male general adult PICU. Also the Medical Director for Burgess Hill, Dorking and Ticehurst House. Previously an ST6 in Forensic Psychiatry working in Community Forensics (FIRST) based at Reaside Clinic Medium Secure Unit (MSU) within BSMHFT. Also completed: ST4 year at BSMHFT within a male MSU; 6 months as ST5 in a female MSU; 6 further months as ST5 in a MSU in MPFT and 6 months there as ST6. Additional experience at a HSU and ‘acting up’ as a Consultant in MPFT. Prison work: weekly visiting Psychiatrist clinic. 1 year at a male Cat B remand and sentenced prison; 8 months working at a female remand and sentenced prison. Qualifications and roles include: BSc 1st degree in Biomedical Chemistry(Uni of Warwick); MBChB Medicine (Uni of Warwick); MRCPsych (Royal College of Psychiatrists); PG Cert Mental Health Law (University of Northumbria); PG Cert Medical Education with distinction (Cardiff University); Academy Teacher (Uni of Birmingham & BSMHFT). Previously worked at Woodbourne Priory as a Specialty Doctor on the 16-25yo PICU. The PICU was a brand new service and part of my role was to help develop the PICU over my 20 months in the role. Completed MRCPsych in October 2014. Section 12 Approval July 2015. Completed 10 months of Locum work. Locum posts: - Macarthur Centre PICU & Assertive Engagement Team (Black Country Partnership Foundation Trust) covering male PICU inpatients and AET patients in the community; - Brooklands Hospital (Cov & Warwick) covering Medium & Low Secure Male Forensic Units for people with a Learning Disability. (Aug 15 - Jan 16). - Additional oncall locum shifts: Caludon (Cov & Warwick); Hallam Street Hospital & Sandwell General A&E (BCPFT); Oleaster & Barberry (Birmingham & Solihull) Previous placements: CT1 - General Adult (inpatients and outpatients) for 12 months CT2 - Learning Disability (inpatients and outpatients) for 6 months CT2 - CAMHS (outpatients and self-harm assessments) for 6months CT3 - Forensic Male Medium Secure Inpatient Unit for 6 months CT3 - Male PICU and AOT for 6 months Oncall - Covering Sandwell General Hospital (A&E and wards), PICU, Learning Disability, Crisis/HTT and Elderly Care wards. Other placements: FY1 - General Adult Community Mental Health (BSMHFT) - 4 months FY2 - Early Intervention Mental Health (BSMHFT) - 4 months
