I have experience of working with adults and young people and am fully enhanced DBS checked. I have experience of helping individuals with anxiety, depression, managing stress, loss and grief and challenging negative and intrusive thoughts, however, the topic or area you explore in your sessions is always yours to lead.Your sessions are tailored around you, and I give you the freedom to talk about anything you would like without an agenda, in a non-judgemental and empathic environment. I can also use creative techniques such as drawing, clay and music to help you explore past and present experiences. Working together, I help you explore and process things you feel have impacted and affected you. Through this process you will be supported to develop your own goals, self-awareness, self-acceptance and self-trust. My core approach is Person Centred, which is a non-judgemental, accepting, empathic, supportive and compassionate approach. My style is integrative, this means I can incorporate elements from various approaches for example Mindfulness, Brainspotting, Creative Therapy and Solution-Based Therapy into your sessions to suit your needs and situation. As a mindfulness practitioner I can include mindfulness into sessions to help support those with anxiety, depression and stress. Using Solution-Based Therapy, I can support you to identify and develop solutions to issues you may be experiencing.If you have experienced emotional trauma which you find difficult to talk about, I can incorporate Brainspotting into your sessions. This is a powerful, focused treatment that supports individuals to identify, process and release emotional trauma.
